Did you like the geometry classes in school? No matter what your answer is, you cannot deny the fact that for designers, geometric shapes open up a lot of opportunities. If you search in the internet, you will see that there are many blogs on how to use geometric patterns for graphic design.

Today, I will also discuss a few geometric shapes that you can use for your graphic design ventures.

Mix and match different shapes:

While most people will ask you to stick to one particular shape, I would recommend you to try mixing different shapes. I am not against of using one geometric shape as that is what is sometimes required in some particular design. However, graphic design agency DigitalPolo.com has successfully implemented different shapes in the same design.

So, the first step here is to choose patterns that are close to each other. Instead of choosing a circle and a square, you can pick up triangles, hexagons, pentagons. Now comes the second part when you can actually include more shapes. Include the secondary shapes within the primary shapes to create an impact. This is a technique that is good for brochure design as this will help you in grabbing the attention as well segregate the content.

Geometric typeface:

Have you been thinking that you cannot merge typeface with geometric shapes? Well, let us change what you have been thinking. Have you used your company name in your logo design? Choose each of the letters and include a couple of (or more if it does not look cluttered) geometric shapes within the typeface.

No matter which typeface you have chosen, you can include geometric patterns to make the font look unique. You can hire professional graphic designers to design geometric pattern for graphic design. Use bright colors to make sure that the design actually pops. This is a very good idea if you want to establish a friendly vibe for your company.

Monochromatic colors:

Do you know what doodling is? Have you ever tried this? No? No problem at all. Doodling is using different simple and complex geometric shapes to create a design. The design is primarily black and white. We will apply simple doodle art in graphic designing. Suppose you are creating a business card design.

One side of the business card may have your logo and contact information. Create a simple monochromatic doodle art on the other side. Depending on your choice, each of your business cards may have different doodles. Expert designers who are working in the graphic design companies say that using simple geometric shape will make sure that the design is not overwhelming. Besides, it will also give a character to your.

Conclusion:

Which of the processes do you like the most or do you think you can try out? I like doodling when I have some free time. Hence, I would love to use geometric pattern for graphic design through doodle art. On the other hand, I also like the idea of including geometric shapes in the typeface.
